Overview
We are looking for a skilled Business Analyst to support the analysis, design, and optimisation of IT‑enabled business processes and applications. Acting as a key interface between business units, IT teams, and external partners, you will ensure that requirements are clearly defined, traceable, and aligned with organisational objectives. Your strong analytical mindset, structured approach, and methodological expertise will be essential in supporting the successful delivery of complex IT initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end‑to‑end requirements engineering, including elicitation, analysis, documentation, validation, change management, and traceability.
- Facilitate stakeholder interactions through workshops, interviews, alignment sessions, and structured decision‑making processes.
- Translate business needs into functional concepts, use cases, user stories, and process models.
- Evaluate solution options and provide recommendations balancing functionality, technical feasibility, compliance, and overall business value.
- Support project governance through prioritisation, quality assurance, test coordination, and business acceptance.
- Ensure that requirements and documentation comply with data protection, IT security, and accessibility standards.

- Functional requirements documentation and functional specifications
- User stories, use cases, requirement catalogues, and backlog items
- Business process models and related documentation
- Workshop reports, interview summaries, meeting minutes, and decision logs
- Presentations, interim updates, and final reports
- Test documentation and acceptance records
Qualifications & Experience
- Degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or an equivalent discipline with a strong IT component, or substantial proven experience as an IT Business Analyst.
- Strong command of German (C1), both written and spoken.
- Proficiency in structured methods for requirements engineering or process modelling (e.g., BPMN, user stories, use cases).
- Proven experience in multiple IT projects involving requirements elicitation, analysis, documentation, and stakeholder alignment.
- Several years of professional experience in roles such as Business Analyst, Requirements Engineer, or similar within IT environments.
- Experience in business process analysis, application analysis, or IT systems analysis, including converting business needs into implementable IT specifications.
- Familiarity with public‑sector IT project environments or complex organisational structures.
- Strong abilities in facilitating workshops and interviews, managing stakeholders, and communicating complex topics clearly.
- Solid experience in creating and maintaining structured documentation, supporting change processes, and documenting decisions and project outcomes.
- Exposure to projects involving IT infrastructure or IT organisational contexts.

Although open to technologies used by our customers, ABAKUS IT-SOLUTIONS seeks mainly but not only consultants mastering: Windows and Linux Servers, networks, developments (JAVA, SAP, .NET,…) as well as highly specialized experts for example in cybersecurity or in Content Management System (CMS) (SharePoint, Drupal, WebLogic…).

A very good command of English is essential, the capacity to speak French, German or Dutch is an asset.
