As a Technical Consultant at ABAKUS IT SOLUTIONS, you will provide expert support and guidance for the integration, operation, and evolution of Dissemination and Publishing IT systems. You will work on cloud-hosted environments, contribute to CI/CD pipelines, troubleshoot technical issues, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the reliability and continuous improvement of our IT services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical consultancy and 2nd-level support for IT systems, including troubleshooting functional and non-functional issues (HTML, XML, CSS).
- Monitor and analyse system logs (preferably using tools like CloudWatch or Dynatrace) and generate reports and statistics (PIWIK, BI tools).
- Handle incidents, investigate root causes, and ensure timely resolution in line with ITIL processes.
- Test new functionalities, document issues, and follow up to ensure resolution.
- Coordinate reception, validation, and testing of new releases using CI/CD pipelines (Bitbucket and/or GitLab).
- Work with cloud-hosted systems (AWS preferred) and follow established change-management procedures.
- Create and maintain database scripts and Linux/Unix scripts (e.g., JSON queries, shell scripting).
- Analyse, design, and contribute to the evolution of IT systems.
- Draft and review technical and functional/non-functional specifications in collaboration with Enterprise Architecture and Operations teams.
- Participate in technical working groups and meetings with developers, stakeholders, and users.
- Deliver training sessions and demonstrations to internal teams as required.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Information Technology, Computer Science, or Computing (EQF level 6), or relevant professional experience.

Minimum 5 years of professional experience in IT, including:
- 3 years in system log monitoring, incident, and problem management (ITIL).
- 3 years in testing and validating functional and non-functional requirements.
- 3 years drafting technical and functional/non-functional specifications.
- 3 years in project management roles.
- 2 years working with cloud services (AWS preferred).
- 2 years in release management and CI/CD pipelines.
- 1 year in database and network management.
- Very good knowledge of English (C1 CEFR).
- Understanding of network components and topologies.
- Experience with Elasticsearch.
- Familiarity with containerisation technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Experience with automated testing practices
