Mission

The senior solution architect consultant will execute the following main tasks:

• Refresh, update and maintain the AFSC reference architecture development in accordance with NATO Architecture Framework.
• Refresh, update and maintain the AGS target architecture development in accordance with NATO Architecture Framework.
• Provide advice on the future strategy for integration of these and other JISR capabilities within the NATO domain.
• Provide meaningful input to envisioning architectures and deployment strategies that fit best the NATO requirements.
• Focus on solution designs and integration (across solution areas) 

Requested skills

Technical skills

• Technical / Systems Engineering qualifications with a minimum 5 years of experience
• Minimum 5 years of Architecture experience in designing large and complex solutions
• Current NS security clearance
• Provide meaningful input to envisioning architectures and deployment strategies that fit best the NATO requirements
• Focus on solution designs and integration (across solution areas)
• Has extensive experience using architecture tooling (eg Archimate and Microsoft Visio)
• Ability to transcribe existing architecture into architecture tooling
• Will work on the SATCOM and ISR architectures at operational and system levels.
• Expert in TOGAF and NAF
• Experience with System of Systems solution design
• Experienced in UML, BPMN and Modelling Tools
• Fluent English

Soft Skills

• NATO and/or military experience
• A good understanding of military concepts
• Knowledge of existing/R&D civilian and military surveillance & reconnaissance systems and technologies
• Able to capture and analyze requirements and manage opposing point of views
• Able to conceptualize large complex integrated solutions
• Able to receive and execute tasking in-accordance with direction from NCI Agency engineers
• Good listening and communication skills
• Real team player and aware of cross-cultural working
• Having strong analytical and problem-solving skills
