
Under the direction/guidance of a technical lead the software developer will develop and maintain JCHAT software modules.
The software developer will perform the following activities:
• Develop/test JCHAT client software components
• Develop/test Geo-Whiteboard Application Programming Interface (API)
• Develop JCHAT online help and update design documentation
• Support the automate JCHAT software integration and deployment to the test platform.
The software developer may also be requested to provide ad-hoc JCHAT and iGeoSIT support.
Requirements:
1. The candidate has relevant and recent experience in system and software design and development of Graphical User Interface using Java.
2. The candidate has relevant and recent experience in using JDBC.
3. The candidate has relevant and recent experience in using development tools (e.g. Maven, Jira, TestRail) and methodologies (e.g. Agile).
4. The candidate has relevant and recent experience in documenting source code and design, online help.
5. The candidate has relevant and recent experience in continuous software integration and automated deployment on Windows, Linux and Solaris platforms.
6. The candidate is able to speak and write fluent English since the work is conducted in English
7. The candidate has a NATO SECRET security clearance, provided by the national security organization valid at the time of submission of the bid covering the period of the requirement.
8. The candidate must have the nationality of one of the NATO nations.
Practical experience in the following areas is also desired:
1. The candidate has relevant and recent knowledge of JChat and iGeoSIT.
2. The candidate has relevant and recent experience in working with a software development team.
