Your mission:
As a Database Administrator, you will:
- Design, manage, and administer database management systems ensuring top-notch performance and reliability.
- Ensure the consistency, quality, security, and continuous accessibility of information across our databases.
- Automate administrative tasks to streamline operations and improve efficiency.
- Optimize database performance to meet the evolving needs of our organization.
- Provide technical support and assistance to users, resolving issues and improving user experience.
- Document your tasks and processes meticulously to maintain clear records and facilitate knowledge sharing.
Your profile:
To excel in this role, you should have a significant experience in database administration.
Technical skills:
- In-depth knowledge of information systems architecture.
- Proficiency in database administration and monitoring, including Microsoft SQL Server.
- Strong programming skills, especially in SQL and PowerShell.
- Experience with Windows Server, including clustering (Always On Availability groups).
- Familiarity with NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra).
- Experience with DevOps release management tools like Jenkins.
- Knowledge of big data concepts (e.g., SAPRK) is a plus.
Experience:
- At least 5 years of experience in database administration.
Educational background:
- University degree (Bac+3 minimum) with a specialization in computer science.
- Microsoft SQL Server certifications are advantageous.
Other competencies:
- Proactive, rigorous, and methodical approach to work.
- Flexibility with working hours.
- Strong writing, analytical, and synthesis skills.
Languages:
- Proficiency in French and English (minimum B1 level).
- Knowledge of Luxembourgish is a plus.
