Technical Administrator (Unix)
We are a dynamic and innovative company seeking a skilled and experienced Technical Administrator to join our team.
As a key operational role, you will be responsible for the provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of our data center environment hardware and software, ensuring seamless operations and continuous innovation.
Responsibilities:
- Execute day-to-day infrastructure operations within large-scale Data Centre environments.
- Resolve incidents, identify problems, and ensure timely resolution.
- Monitor infrastructure, conduct availability testing, and generate insightful reports.
- Implement standard changes and service requests.
- Manage documentation effectively to ensure clear and concise records.
- Participate in technical reviews and contribute to ongoing development and innovation.
- Provide on-call services to address critical issues promptly.
Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum 5-8 years of professional experience on Linux (ideally RedHat Enterprise Linux) within large-scale Data Centre environments.
- Skills: Proficient in system administration tasks (LVM, process management, resources, file manipulation).
- Automation: Ability to write automation solutions in languages such as Python, Ansible, Bash, or Perl.
- Networking: Extensive knowledge of protocols (HTTP, DNS, NTP, SMTP) and the OSI model.
- Monitoring: Experience in infrastructure monitoring using tools like Nagios/Icinga2 or similar.
- Configuration Management: Familiarity with automated configuration management tools like CFEngine, Ansible.
- Nice-to-have: Exposure to tools such as GIT/GitLab, Jenkins, RedHat Satellite, Kickstart, VMware, and cluster-based technologies.
Qualifications:
- University degree or equivalent level through experience and professional training.
- Strong communication skills, structured mindset, and the ability to maintain a high-level overview.
- Fluent in English (at least B2 Level).
- Capable of self-study and quick learning of new technologies.
- Independent worker with excellent time management skills.
