We are currently looking for a Cyber Security Analyst (m/f/d) for our long-term customer project. In this role, you will support our client's Cyber Defence Centre and work on both operations and the design of the environment for incident response and security monitoring.

Working model: "hybrid work": in a mix of Karlsruhe on site and your home office 

Your tasks:

In the Cyber Defence Center you will have the following responsibilities:

• Focus on the detection of potential vulnerabilities and cyber threats in IT systems (SOC/SIEM) as well as the analytical and forensic processing of cyber security incidents (CERT).
• Coordination of internal audits to implement the specifications from information security management.
• Support in various project-related tasks, including the coordination of penetration tests and assistance for cyber security architects / IT architects.
• Continuous development of cyber security services, tools and methods.
• Advising our customers on incidents, risk remediation and mitigation strategies. Development of use cases for the detection of current cyber threats, identification of countermeasures and implementation in cooperation with customers. 

Your profile: 

• You have several years of experience in the field of cybersecurity.
• You are driven by your passion for cybersecurity and a strong interest in continuing education.
• You have a comprehensive understanding of current threat landscapes, attack methods and vulnerabilities.
• You have practical experience with cyber defence products, IT systems and network components (e.g. IDS, IPS, NDR, NGFW, NGAV, SIEM, malware analysis) is an advantage.
• You have a broad technical understanding in the areas of networks, operating systems (Linux, Windows), virtualisation and cloud.
• You have very good analytical and conceptual skills, cooperation skills as well as initiative, commitment and resilience are among your characteristics.
• Your German language proficiency is at least B2 level, and you are able to use it successfully in your daily work.
