We are seeking a seasoned Cyber Security Incident Investigator to lead and coordinate our Cyber Security Incident Response, Vulnerability Management, and Defensive Cyber Operations. This role is integral to ensuring our cybersecurity posture remains robust and resilient against evolving threats.

Key responsibilities:

• Incident response leadership: Spearhead Cyber Security Incident Response, coordinating technical, procedural, risk management, and communication efforts.
• Vulnerability management: Oversee the review of new vulnerabilities, identify vulnerable assets, assess exploitability, and manage operational and business impacts. Track and guide remediation actions.
• Defensive cyber operations: Lead and execute comprehensive Defence Cyber Operations to ensure freedom of action in cyberspace.
• Strategic to technical execution: Translate cyber strategic objectives into actionable plans, track progress, and report execution status.
• Team leadership: Motivate and lead a diverse team through high-pressure situations to achieve cybersecurity objectives.
• Networking and coordination: Establish and maintain a network of cyber security professionals for effective communication and coordination during urgent situations.
• Reporting and communication: Prepare and present reports, recommendations, and briefings to executive staff, Security Authorities, and other stakeholders on various cybersecurity topics.
• Education and training: Deliver tailored briefings to different audiences including technical experts, military personnel, executives, media, and industry on cybersecurity incident response, vulnerability management, and defensive operations.
• Additional duties: Perform other related tasks as required.

Requirements:

Education and experience:

• A university degree in a technical subject with significant IT content and at least 8 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, at least 15 years of extensive and progressive experience in related duties.

Professional experience:

• Minimum of 8 years handling complex cyber security incidents, preferably in an international, governmental, or military setting.
• Strong understanding of Computer and Communication Security principles, networking, and modern system vulnerabilities.
• Exceptional communication skills with the ability to address various audiences.
• Minimum of 5 years leading teams under challenging conditions.
• Deep knowledge of vulnerability management and cyber security protective measures.
• Professional certifications in Cyber Security Incident Handling and IT Service Management.

Desirable qualifications:

• University degree in Cyber Security, IT Security, Business, or Risk Management.
• Experience in risk assessment and management.
• Familiarity with the MITRE ATT&CK framework.
