We are seeking a Test Automation Engineer to collaborate closely with various services and stakeholders, developing and supporting innovative digital solutions. This role is part of a high-profile initiative focused on enhancing processes and implementing key policies. As a Test Automation Engineer, you will be entrusted with a variety of tasks to ensure the quality and efficiency of our digital solutions.

Key responsibilities

General testing activities:

• Define test plans and cases.
• Construct test scenarios and scripts.
• Execute tests and maintain test data.
• Report on test outcomes.

Automated testing:

• Transition to an automated testing approach.
• Evaluate and implement automation tools and technologies within a DevSecOps framework.
• Design, prepare, and monitor automated tests.
• Develop test automation solutions to meet business needs.
• Generate automated test reports and metrics.

Support for stakeholders: Assist during acceptance testing phases.

To excel in this role, you should have:

• A bachelor’s degree or 3 years of higher education in a relevant field.
• Experience in manual and automated testing.
• Proficiency in test data preparation, preferably with SQL databases.
• Strong knowledge of testing technologies, tools, frameworks, and cloud environments.
• Familiarity with data-driven solutions testing (data warehouse, data lakes, etc.).
• Competence in using Test Management and Defect Tracking tools, particularly JIRA.
• Experience with relational databases such as MS SQL and Oracle.
• Understanding of technologies like Elasticsearch, Spark, Machine Learning, and AI (an asset).

• Fluency in French (B1/B2 level).

Specific expertise

• At least 3 years of experience with test automation tools and techniques.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in Agile/Sprint-based IT project methodologies.
• At least 1 year of experience with public cloud technologies.
• Proficiency in web application testing tools like Selenium or Protractor.
• Knowledge of API testing tools like SOAPUI.

Certifications that can enhance your profile include:

• ISTQB Specialist Level Test Automation Engineer
• ISTQB Specialist Level Test Acceptance Testing
• ISTQB Advanced Level Test Analyst
• Equivalent certifications (subject to approval)

Additional information

• Authorized remote work with the requirement to reach Brussels within 2 hours for meetings.
• Occasional travel to premises in Brussels.
