Role Overview
We are looking for a hands-on Citrix System Engineer with strong expertise in Windows Server and operational management. This is an operator role (not an architect), focusing on day-to-day operations, troubleshooting, and second-line support.
You will join a team of six professionals and act as the escalation point for complex issues the helpdesk cannot resolve.
Your Responsibilities
Daily Operations & Second-Level Support
- Manage and maintain Windows and Citrix server environments
(approx. 80% Windows / 20% Citrix) - Investigate and resolve environment or user-related incidents
- Take ownership of technical cases escalated from first-line support
- Monitor system performance and ensure platform availability
- Document processes, configurations, and operational procedures
Citrix Environment Operations
You will support and operate a highly available Citrix environment including:
- Virtual Apps and Desktops Delivery Controllers
- StoreFront
- Citrix Workspace app
- Director, Studio
- Profile Management
- NetScaler (on-premises)
Required Skills & Experience
Mandatory Skills
(Understanding + proven experience)
- Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops (medior level)
- Windows Server 2016–2025 administration
- Native speaker of French or Dutch (one of the two is required)
- Good command of English
- Solid grasp of networking and security principles
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Citrix certifications (CCA‑V, CCA‑AppDS)
- Active Directory
- MS Exchange
- MS SCOM / SCCM
- VMware vSphere ESXi
- PowerShell scripting (advanced knowledge is a strong plus)
- NetApp storage management (L1–L2)
- PRTG monitoring
- Anti-malware solutions:
- Trend Micro Deep Security
- Scanmail
- MailMarshal
- TMCM
- Understanding German is a plus
