About the role

You are more than a process guardian. As Scrum Master, you are the engine that keeps the team focused, motivated and continuously improving. You shield your team from distractions, break down obstacles before they become blockers, and coach everyone around you — from developers to stakeholders — on what great agile collaboration looks like. Your impact is felt not just in sprint velocity, but in how the team grows over time.

Your responsibilities

Project facilitation & follow-up

-        Set up and facilitate all Scrum ceremonies: Daily Stand-up, Sprint Planning, Sprint Review and Retrospective

-        Schedule and monitor key methodology milestones to keep delivery on track

-        Ensure smooth adoption of Scrum practices and help the team navigate obstacles

-        Support the Product Owner in managing and refining the Product Backlog

-        Assist the team in delivering the Definition of Done, Sprint Backlog and related artefacts

-        Track team capacity and velocity metrics to support planning and progress reporting

Coaching & methodology

-        Coach and challenge the team, fostering gradual self-organisation

-        Remove impediments and protect the team from external distractions

-        Act as an internal ambassador for agile methods across the organisation

-        Report to management on the deployment and maturity of Scrum practices within projects

-        Contribute to risk and issue management across the project lifecycle

Your profile

Experience & knowledge

-        At least 5 years of relevant experience as a Scrum Master or in an agile delivery role

-        Expert knowledge of agile methodologies and techniques, including Kanban

-        Solid understanding of software development and project management methodologies

-        Hands-on experience with agile reporting and tracking tools such as Jira and Confluence

-        Familiarity with automated unit testing, functional testing and CI/CD tooling

-        Knowledge of IT processes is a plus

Certifications

-        Scrum Master certification required (CSM, PSM or equivalent)

Languages

-        Dutch, French and English: good working knowledge required

Soft skills

-        Proactive and forward-thinking: able to look beyond day-to-day objectives and align actions with the broader IT strategy

-        Excellent communication skills: clear, direct and adapted to all audiences

-        Strong team spirit with the ability to work in cross-functional agile teams

-        Comfortable taking on different roles and contributing across disciplines when the sprint goal requires it
