Role Overview
As a Junior Application Tester, you will play a key role in ensuring software quality by designing and executing test strategies for various applications. You will collaborate closely with functional analysts, developers, and end-users to deliver reliable and high-performing solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop a solid understanding of the technical environment and functional requirements.
- Define test strategies for internally developed ICT applications and end-to-end user tests.
- Prepare test data and execute functional and non-functional tests.
- Support acceptance testing and guide users through the process.
- Create regression tests to quickly identify potential software issues.
- Contribute to test automation or collaborate with team members to implement it.
- Analyze, document, and report test results to functional analysts and developers.
- Ensure follow-up on defect resolution with relevant stakeholders.
Required Skills
- Testing methodologies: ISTQB or TMap (Junior level).
- Tools: SoapUI or similar for API testing (SOAP/REST), Microsoft Azure DevOps.
- Technical: Basic SQL knowledge.
- Agile/Scrum experience (Junior level).
- Understanding of test automation principles.
- Dutch or FrenchLevel Native

- High sense of responsibility, flexibility, and initiative.
Working Conditions
- Hybrid work: 2 days onsite in Brussels, remaining days remote.

Although open to technologies used by our customers, ABAKUS IT-SOLUTIONS seeks mainly but not only consultants mastering: Windows and Linux Servers, networks, developments (JAVA, SAP, .NET,…) as well as highly specialized experts for example in cybersecurity or in Content Management System (CMS) (SharePoint, Drupal, WebLogic…).

A very good command of English is essential, the capacity to speak French, German or Dutch is an asset.
Even though most of our positions require at least 3 years of experience, some are open to new starters.
