ABAKUS-IT-SOLUTIONS is currently looking for an experienced Senior Test Manager to join a high-impact program within the energy sector.
This role is fully remote and targets nearshore freelance professionals located in Eastern Europe.
Your Mission
You will take ownership of test and quality assurance activities across a domain managing digital planning solutions, including SaaS platforms and SAP-based systems.
You will act as a central coordinator and strategic driver for QA excellence, while remaining hands-on when needed and supporting teams through coaching and best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and drive end-to-end quality assurance across multiple products
- Implement and operationalize an existing QA strategy
- Collaborate closely with product teams, development, operations, architecture, and release management
- Coordinate cross-product testing activities (regression, integration, end-to-end, and release testing)
- Provide guidance on test design, documentation, and processes
- Structure and improve test management practices and tools
- Drive test automation strategy:
- Identify automation needs with teams
- Define standards, coverage, and prioritization
- Analyze results and implement continuous improvements
- Ensure transparent communication of test status, risks, and recommendations
Your Profile
- Extensive experience as a Test Manager in complex IT environments
- Strong expertise in test management methodologies and tools
- Experience working in integration-driven system landscapes
- Proven collaboration with test automation teams
- Experience in defining and prioritizing automation initiatives
- Interest in modern QA trends and tools
- Experience with SAP-based systems is a plus
- ISTQB certification is an advantage
- Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Proactive mindset with a high level of autonomy
