AISG-0406 Penetration Tester

At ABAKUS IT SOLUTIONS, we are looking for a Penetration Tester to strengthen cybersecurity across complex IT environments. In this role, you will perform advanced security assessments, simulate real-world attack scenarios, and provide actionable recommendations to improve the resilience of critical systems and infrastructures. Your Responsibilities

• Plan, execute, and follow up on penetration tests across various environments.
• Perform different types of security assessments, including:
  • Network penetration tests
  • WLAN penetration tests
  • Web application penetration tests
  • Active Directory penetration tests
  • Physical penetration tests (when required)
• Identify known and unknown vulnerabilities.
• Analyze security risks and simulate potential attack scenarios.
• Assess and quantify risks based on findings.
• Propose concrete measures to improve IT security.
• Document results and present them clearly and transparently to stakeholders.
• Ensure all activities comply with relevant standards and regulations (e.g. GDPR, BSI IT-Grundschutz, NIS Directive).

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, IT Security, or a related field or a recognized IT-related vocational qualification.
• At least 3 years of professional experience in IT security.
• Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in penetration testing.
• Experience working in large organizations (corporate or public sector).
• Strong knowledge of common penetration testing tools such as:
  • Nmap
  • Burp Suite
  • Metasploit
  • Nessus or OpenVAS
  • sqlmap
• Ability to develop custom exploits or proof-of-concepts using languages such as Python or PowerShell.
• Structured, precise, and traceable working style.
• German language skills at C1 level (both written and spoken) are mandatory.
