AISB-844 Solution Engineer - Agile/Scrum Master

At ABAKUS IT SOLUTIONS, we are looking for a highly experienced Solution Engineer - Scrum / Agile Delivery Master to join a major long-term digital transformation initiative in Brussels. This role is ideal for someone who combines deep technical expertise in Java, cloud engineering, APIs, microservices, and event-driven architecture with strong experience leading agile software delivery within expert-level engineering teams. You will play a key role in the coordination, design, delivery, and continuous improvement of large-scale greenfield solutions in a modern cloud-native environment.

Your Responsibilities

• Lead and contribute to agile delivery activities across complex software initiatives
• Facilitate sprint ceremonies including planning, refinements, retrospectives, demos, and daily stand-ups
• Coordinate medium- and long-term release planning while managing dependencies and delivery risks
• Guide multidisciplinary engineering teams in the design and implementation of secure, scalable, and resilient solutions
• Contribute hands-on to solution architecture and technical discussions around:
  • APIs
  • Microservices
  • Event-driven systems
  • Cloud-native architectures
• Collaborate closely with developers, architects, analysts, and stakeholders to ensure successful product delivery
• Support production deployments and application lifecycle management
• Promote continuous improvement and agile best practices within the team
• Share technical knowledge and help evolve engineering standards and delivery practices
• Provide pragmatic recommendations and alternative technical approaches when needed

Your Profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent European-recognized diploma
• Minimum 10 years of experience in:
  • Java SE development
  • API design and development
  • Microservices development and integration
• Minimum 5 years of experience with:
  • Java SE 10+
  • Event-driven architecture and systems
  • Agile delivery within greenfield software projects
  • Agile frameworks such as SAFe and LeSS
  • Software design in cloud environments
• Minimum 3 years of experience as Scrum/Agile Delivery Master in cloud-native projects
• Strong hands-on experience with:
  • Azure DevOps
  • Cloud-native software delivery
  • API-first architectures
  • Event sourcing & event handling
• Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset
• Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Ability to work autonomously while remaining a strong team player
• Experience with Domain-Driven Design (DDD) and/or Behavior-Driven Development (BDD)
• Knowledge of Angular
• Experience working in highly collaborative expert environments
