Context & Objectives
We are looking for a Senior Functional Analyst to support a strategic SAS migration program, which is a top priority for the executive committee.
The organization currently operates a large portfolio of applications built on SAS technology, which will no longer be supported after 2028. As part of this transformation, each application will need to be replaced either by a newly developed internal solution or by an off-the-shelf product.
This role requires both business process analysis and technical/functional expertise to ensure a smooth transition.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, analyze, and document business needs, particularly related to existing SAS applications (AS-IS analysis)
- Lead and facilitate workshops with stakeholders in both national languages to gather requirements (TO-BE analysis)
- Capture and document business and functional requirements; analyze gaps between AS-IS and TO-BE states
- Collaborate with stakeholders to evaluate solution options and provide functional analysis, including pros and cons
- Propose functional improvements and optimization opportunities
- Translate business requirements into clear functional and technical specifications for IT teams
- Contribute to product documentation and structure the product backlog (user stories, backlog items, prioritization)
- Work closely with project managers and developers to define implementation roadmaps
- Perform data modeling and contribute to system design
- Develop use cases and functional scenarios
- Produce mock-ups to illustrate solutions
- Define test scenarios, acceptance criteria, and execute testing before delivery to business teams
- Report progress to the Project Manager or Product Owner
Profile & Experience
- Proven experience as a Senior Functional Analyst
- Experience with application and/or database migration projects (strongly preferred)
- Strong background in business analysis, requirements gathering, and process documentation
- Experience working in complex transformation programs
