We are seeking a highly experienced Scrum Master / Release Train Engineer (RTE) to join a strategic, large-scale digital transformation program within the public sector domain focused on healthcare prescription services and mobile health solutions.
This role supports multiple long-term product streams, including medicinal prescription systems, referral prescription workflows, support tooling, and a mobile health application. You will work across four agile teams operating in a complex multi-team environment with strong interdependencies and high visibility.
Context
The teams operate in a hybrid methodological setup:
- Teams follow Scrum for their day-to-day delivery
- Some streams apply SAFe practices for quarterly planning and cross-team alignment
- Overall governance includes PRINCE2-based project management structures
- Product ownership is ensured by dedicated Product Owners within each stream
You will interact closely with project managers, product representatives, and delivery teams, helping align agile delivery practices within a broader structured governance environment.
Role Overview
As Scrum Master / RTE, you will:
- Facilitate and coach multiple Scrum teams in their agile maturity and delivery efficiency
- Act as a key enabler for cross-team synchronization and program-level alignment
- Support Agile Release Train-style coordination for planning, execution, and continuous improvement
- Ensure proper application of Scrum and scaled agile practices, adapted to the organizational context
- Help teams navigate dependencies, delivery constraints, and governance requirements
- Promote transparency, predictability, and continuous improvement across all teams
- Foster collaboration between technical teams, product stakeholders, and management layers
Profile
We are looking for a senior professional with strong methodological expertise and a pragmatic, delivery-oriented mindset.
You should demonstrate:
- Extensive experience as a Scrum Master in complex environments
- Solid understanding of Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) principles
- Ability to coach and influence teams and stakeholders in agile adoption
- Comfort working in hybrid governance environments (agile + structured project management)
- Practical experience with Jira and Confluence
- Familiarity with public sector environments is an asset
- Strong communication and facilitation skills
- Assertiveness balanced with diplomacy, enabling you to guide both teams and stakeholders toward consistent agile practices
