AISL-296 Project Manager - Investment Funds & Financial Systems

ABAKUS IT-SOLUTIONS is seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst / Project Manager to support the evolution of business-critical financial applications and reporting platforms. This role combines business analysis, project management, reporting, data modelling, and stakeholder coordination within a sophisticated financial services environment. You will play a key role in shaping reporting solutions, enhancing data quality, supporting system transformations, and contributing to the design of innovative financial products and middle-office processes.

Your Responsibilities

• Act as the primary liaison between business users and development teams.
• Gather, analyse, challenge, and document business requirements.
• Translate business needs into detailed functional specifications.
• Facilitate communication between stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
• Support change management and transition activities.
• Analyse and specify functional enhancements for existing reporting platforms.
• Identify opportunities to streamline data flows and eliminate duplication across systems.
• Define specifications for new reporting capabilities and business dashboards.
• Contribute to the development and validation of KPIs, management reports, and project monitoring tools.
• Assess data quality and ensure reporting consistency across applications.
• Coordinate the implementation of new features and releases with technical teams.
• Perform impact analyses related to ongoing transformation initiatives.
• Monitor project progress, risks, dependencies, and deliverables.
• Ensure alignment between business objectives and technical implementation.
• Support release planning and deployment activities.
• Analyse complex datasets and business processes.
• Contribute to conceptual data modelling and process design activities.
• Participate in the definition of future middle-office solutions supporting investment products and risk-sharing instruments.
• Support data migration initiatives and system integration projects.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Minimum 7 years of professional experience as a Project Manager, Business Analyst, or a similar role within the financial services sector.
• Strong understanding of investment funds and fund administration processes.
• Good knowledge of financial products and risk-sharing instruments such as portfolio guarantees and contingent loans.
• Understanding of information exchanges between Front Office, Middle Office, and Back Office environments.
• Strong SQL and data analysis skills.
• Experience with reporting solutions and end-user reporting development.
• Experience with defect management and ticketing tools.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, Visio, and Access.
• Knowledge of business analysis, process modelling, and data modelling methodologies (UML, ARIS, ERM, or equivalent).
• Experience working on data migration projects.
• Excellent command of English.
• Project Management certification such as PMI, PRINCE2, or equivalent.
• Experience within banking, investment management, lending, or fund administration environments.
• Knowledge of financial reporting platforms and document management solutions.
• Good command of French.
• Familiarity with Agile delivery methodologies.
• Experience working on large-scale transformation or system modernization initiatives.
