ABAKUS IT SOLUTIONS is looking for an experienced Cisco Network Engineer to join a dynamic team responsible for the design, operation, optimization, and evolution of complex enterprise network infrastructures. Your Responsibilities
- Operating, maintaining, and further developing complex Cisco network infrastructures.
- Configuring and managing Cisco switches across various environments and performance levels.
- Optimizing Cisco wireless infrastructures, including Wi-Fi controllers and access points.
- Managing and enhancing Cisco firewall environments and Cisco Firepower Services.
- Utilizing and developing Cisco Catalyst Centre for centralized network management, monitoring, and automation.
- Analyzing existing network architectures to identify opportunities for improvement in stability, security, performance, and scalability.
- Implementing optimization and standardization initiatives across network environments.
- Developing, maintaining, and improving configuration templates and deployment standards.
- Planning and executing infrastructure lifecycle projects, including hardware refreshes, access point replacements, and migrations to newer technology generations.
- Collaborating with technical teams to ensure network solutions align with business and operational requirements.
Your Profile
- Several years of hands-on experience operating and supporting Cisco network infrastructures.
- Strong expertise in Cisco switching technologies.
- Experience managing Cisco firewalls and Cisco Firepower Services.
- Solid knowledge of Cisco wireless networking solutions, including Wi-Fi controllers and access points.
- Experience working with Cisco Catalyst Centre (formerly Cisco DNA Centre).
- Proven ability to analyze, troubleshoot, and optimize complex network architectures.
- Experience with network standardization, automation, and configuration management.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive mindset.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
- Fluent German (spoken and written) is mandatory.
- Professional level of English.
Nice to Have
- Experience with large-scale enterprise environments.
- Knowledge of network automation tools and scripting.
- Relevant Cisco certifications (CCNP, CCIE, or equivalent).
