We are looking for an experienced Senior Functional Analyst to join a long-term business transformation program in Brussels. You will become part of a multidisciplinary Agile environment where you will bridge the gap between business stakeholders and development teams, ensuring that business requirements are transformed into efficient, scalable and high-quality functional solutions. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to the modernization, refactoring and development of critical business applications while collaborating with experienced professionals in a dynamic environment.
Your Responsibilities
- Build strong relationships with business stakeholders, project teams and technical experts.
- Analyze existing business processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Gather, document and validate both functional and non-functional requirements.
- Translate business needs into detailed functional analyses and solution designs.
- Produce high-quality functional documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
- Create Software Requirement Specifications (SRS).
- Design business process flows, UML diagrams and data models.
- Write and refine user stories aligned with Agile methodologies.
- Collaborate closely with developers to ensure functional requirements are technically feasible.
- Support testing activities by preparing test plans and test cases.
- Monitor the implementation of new functionalities from analysis through delivery.
- Work alongside Project Managers to report progress, identify risks and facilitate decision-making.
- Coach and support junior analysts when required.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Senior Functional Analyst on complex IT projects.
- Strong experience gathering and documenting business requirements.
- Excellent Functional Analysis and UML modelling skills.
- Experience working with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Good understanding of BPMN and business process modelling.
- Experience writing user stories and functional specifications.
- Knowledge of test analysis and test design.
- Familiarity with Confluence and JIRA.
- Basic SQL knowledge.
- Ability to communicate effectively with both business and technical teams.
- Understanding of technical concepts such as APIs, mappings, services, batch processing and business models.
- Excellent analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating within Agile teams.
- French or Dutch (professional working proficiency)
