As a Senior Network Engineer, you will contribute to the evolution of a large-scale enterprise network by improving resilience, enhancing security, and supporting strategic infrastructure projects within a critical production environment.
Your Role
- Maintaining and upgrading the Extreme Networks infrastructure.
- Configuring, deploying, and managing Extreme switches, Extreme XIQ, and NAC solutions.
- Supporting the implementation of a large-scale network segmentation strategy.
- Monitoring and addressing security vulnerabilities (CVEs) affecting the network infrastructure.
- Providing 2nd-line support for complex networking incidents.
- Designing and implementing resilient network architectures for disaster recovery initiatives.
- Configuring and optimizing SolarWinds monitoring, dashboards, alerting, and IPAM.
- Supporting Operational Technology (OT) environments through network monitoring solutions such as Nozomi.
- Optimizing existing network implementations and continuously improving performance and reliability.
- Maintaining physical network infrastructure within the data center.
- Producing and maintaining high-quality technical documentation for existing and newly implemented solutions.
- Ensuring all activities comply with GDPR, ISO 27001, and NIS2 security standards.
What We're Looking For
- Extensive experience as a Senior Network Engineer.
- Strong expertise with Extreme Networks technologies (Extreme OS, Extreme XIQ, Extreme NAC).
- Solid knowledge of Cisco Routing & Switching environments.
- Excellent understanding of routing protocols, VLANs, LACP, MLAG, mirror ports, DNS, and DHCP.
- Experience with Palo Alto firewalls and Panorama.
- Hands-on experience with SolarWinds monitoring solutions.
- Experience implementing network segmentation and enterprise security best practices.
- Exposure to Operational Technology (OT) or industrial networking environments is highly valued.
- Good understanding of cybersecurity frameworks such as ISO 27001 and NIS2.
- Strong documentation and troubleshooting skills.
- A structured, analytical, and collaborative way of working.
