We are currently looking for a Functional Analyst to join a dynamic environment focused on energy market data and digital transformation initiatives. You will play a key role in bridging business needs and IT solutions within a complex and evolving ecosystem.
Your Role
As a Functional Analyst, you will contribute to the analysis, design, and improvement of applications managing energy market exchanges, including metering data, consumption calculations, asset management, and contractual processes.
You will be involved in both RUN (maintenance) and evolutionary projects, with a strong initial focus on maintaining and optimizing an orchestration platform built on Azure technologies.
Key Responsibilities
Run & Maintenance
- Handle incidents, service requests, and production issues
- Monitor and analyze system behavior to identify root causes
- Propose and implement temporary workarounds when needed
- Support business teams and ensure continuity of service
Analysis & Continuous Improvement
- Identify recurring maintenance issues and optimization opportunities
- Analyze repetitive and time-consuming tasks
- Propose sustainable solutions with cost/benefit analysis
- Improve communication on system status and performance
Functional Analysis & Delivery
- Gather and formalize business requirements
- Write user stories and functional documentation
- Collaborate closely with development teams
- Estimate workloads and assess risks/impacts
- Execute and support testing phases (unit, integration, end-to-end)
- Ensure proper documentation and validation
Required Skills & Experience
Must-Have
- Proven experience as a Functional Analyst in the energy sector
- Strong knowledge of energy market processes (MIG6)
- Experience with functional and integration testing methodologies
- Advanced SQL skills
- Experience with testing tools (HPQC or equivalent)
- Ability to model using UML diagrams and understand BPMN
- Experience facilitating workshops with cross-functional teams
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Fluent French (C2 level) and English (minimum B1)
Nice to Have
- Knowledge of prepayment processes (PPP) and smart metering
- Experience with Azure Portal and Application Insights
- Familiarity with monitoring tools and IT/application logging
- Experience with backlog tools (Azure DevOps, Jira, etc.)
- Exposure to modeling tools (Sparx EA or similar)
- Background working with distribution system operators (DSO/GRD)
- Basic programming knowledge
- Experience with MECOMS, Microsoft Dynamics AX, or Software AG
