ABAKUS IT SOLUTIONS is looking for a Senior Mobile Tech Lead / Mobile Application Architect to drive the technical vision of a strategic mobile transformation program. This role is ideal for an experienced technology leader who combines deep mobile engineering expertise with strong architectural capabilities and a passion for innovation. You will play a central role in defining the technical foundations of a next-generation mobile platform while guiding teams through architecture decisions, delivery preparation, AI adoption, and engineering best practices. As the technical cornerstone of the project, you will be responsible for establishing the target architecture, preparing the development ecosystem, enabling efficient team onboarding, and ensuring the long-term sustainability of the mobile solution.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and maintain the target mobile architecture, ensuring scalability, performance, security, and long-term maintainability.
- Establish architecture principles, technical standards, governance models, and engineering best practices across the project.
- Lead the preparation and execution of Sprint 0, including development environments, Git workflows, CI/CD pipelines, testing frameworks, security controls, and quality standards.
- Drive the adoption and implementation of Kotlin Multiplatform (KMP), defining shared and platform-specific components while ensuring the sustainability of the architecture.
- Provide technical leadership and mentoring to development teams, promoting engineering excellence and supporting the adoption of modern mobile development practices.
- Evaluate and challenge technology choices, including cross-platform approaches such as Flutter, to ensure alignment with business and technical objectives.
- Create technical documentation, onboarding materials, development guidelines, and reusable project templates to accelerate team productivity.
- Collaborate closely with Business Analysts, Product Owners, Architects, and Project Managers to assess technical feasibility, define APIs, contribute to technical user stories, and support solution design.
- Contribute to project planning activities through technical estimations, roadmap preparation, release planning, risk assessment, and dependency management.
- Define and implement an AI governance framework, promoting the secure and responsible use of AI-assisted development practices throughout the software lifecycle.
- Leverage AI technologies to enhance requirements analysis, architecture documentation, software development, testing, quality assurance, and operational efficiency.
- Continuously identify opportunities to improve engineering productivity, development processes, and delivery excellence through innovation and emerging technologies.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Tech Lead on large-scale mobile projects.
- Strong experience designing robust, scalable, and maintainable mobile architectures.
- Proven experience delivering production-grade mobile applications.
- Significant hands-on experience with Kotlin Multiplatform (KMP).
- Advanced Android expertise and solid understanding of native iOS development.
- Strong software engineering background with architecture ownership responsibilities.
- Experience setting up complete Sprint 0 initiatives.
- Experience implementing CI/CD and DevSecOps practices for mobile applications.
- Strong knowledge of Agile delivery methodologies.
- Experience mentoring and coaching development teams.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Professional proficiency in French is highly desirable.
