Join a specialized technical team dedicated to the end-to-end management of Identity Management (IdM) and Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) services, supporting secure digital operations and communication. As a PKI/IdM Engineer, you will play a central role in ensuring the continuity, compliance, and resilience of certificate services, smart card enrollment, and secure authentication mechanisms.
What You’ll Do
- Automate and Containerize: Develop robust automation tools and scripts using Python, PowerShell, and Ansible. Work with containerized environments (Docker/Kubernetes) to streamline deployment and scalability.
- PKI Lifecycle Management: Oversee the full certificate lifecycle—from issuance to revocation—for both users and devices. Administer the Card Management System and support certificate authorities and related PKI components.
- Support and Operations: Act as 2nd/3rd-level support for identity and certificate-related issues. Manage service tickets (via ServiceNow), perform system monitoring, patching, backups, documentation, and smart card enrollments.
- Contribute to Exercises and Missions: Participate in integration, testing, and deployment of secure systems in support of both project-based and operational environments.
- Standards and Procedures: Draft SOPs and operational documentation. Stay current with developments in SSL/TLS, cryptography (including post-quantum), and PKI best practices.
What We’re Looking For
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in IT or Cybersecurity.
- 3+ years of experience in PKI implementation, cryptographic infrastructure, and secure networking.
Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of PKI, smart cards, digital certificates, and cryptography.
- Proficient in scripting (Python, PowerShell) and working with Red Hat Linux and SQL.
- Experience with automation tools (Ansible) and containerization (Kubernetes).
- Familiarity with CI/CD for MLOps and post-quantum cryptographic practices is a plus.
Soft Skills
- Analytical and detail-oriented with strong documentation habits.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Able to respond to incidents and on-call support requirements with reliability and professionalism.
Security Requirement: NATO SECRET security clearance is mandatory for this role.
