We are currently seeking a skilled Database Administrator to support a high-impact, mission-critical environment. This full-time role is ideal for professionals with deep expertise in both on-premises and cloud-based database ecosystems, especially those looking to work in a secure and collaborative setting.
Please note: This position requires an active NATO Secret security clearance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support seamless migrations from on-premises to cloud environments, ensuring minimal disruption and high performance.
- Maintain and enhance advanced database architectures for high availability and disaster recovery (HA/DR) solutions.
- Leverage automation tools (such as Ansible and PowerShell) to streamline administrative tasks.
- Develop and configure tools to automate database administration, performance tuning, and lifecycle management.
- Create dynamic and actionable reports and dashboards using tools like PowerBI, SSRS, SSIS, and Grafana.
- Design and implement automation policies for regulated database operations.
- Conduct routine installations, re-configurations, and backups in both cloud and on-prem infrastructures.
- Stay ahead with software lifecycle management and continuously optimize DB environments.
Skills & Experience Required:
- Proficiency with Microsoft SQL Server in both cloud and on-prem setups.
- Expertise in cloud-based database platforms such as Azure SQL Database.
- Sound knowledge of HA/DR strategies, including server clustering and virtual infrastructures.
- Solid experience with CI/CD integration, backup and recovery planning, and secure DB environments.
- Basic familiarity with other database technologies like Oracle, MySQL, and PostgreSQL.
