We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Data Engineer to join a dynamic Control and Reporting Factory within an Operational and Permanent Control environment. In this role, you will play a key part in collecting, processing, and analyzing data to support strategic business decisions.
This position requires a strong blend of technical expertise, business understanding, and the ability to clearly communicate insights to stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect, clean, link, and validate data from multiple sources
- Analyze datasets to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and meet data requirements
- Ensure data integrity and adherence to internal standards and governance
- Deliver actionable recommendations based on data-driven insights
- Synthesize complex information into clear, concise messages for management
- Contribute to defining and negotiating remediation actions when needed
- Work autonomously while maintaining strong alignment with the team
- Demonstrate initiative, persuasion, and a continuous learning mindset
Profile & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Data Analytics or a similar role
Technical Skills
Mandatory:
- Strong proficiency in SQL
- Working knowledge of SAS
- Experience with data pooling and sampling techniques, enabling self-service usage
- Proven ability to design and implement data solutions in complex environments
- Advanced skills in Excel and VBA
Preferred:
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)
Business & Functional Skills
Mandatory:
- Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex data clearly
- Ability to synthesize information and deliver impactful insights
- Proven capacity to build relationships and negotiate with internal stakeholders
Preferred:
- Experience in banking or financial services
- Understanding of data governance and data protection regulations
