At ABAKUS IT-SOLUTIONS we are looking for an experienced Network Engineer to join a critical infrastructure support project in Mons. You will be responsible for the implementation, technical support, and continuous improvement of LAN, WAN, and WiFi network services within a secure and structured environment.
You will work closely with service managers, technical leads, and other engineering teams to deliver high-quality, stable, and secure networking solutions.
Your Responsibilities
- Design, plan, implement, and support LAN/WAN/WiFi infrastructures.
- Perform diagnostics and fault resolution for networking services using tools such as Cisco Prime, HP Network Automation, and Netscout.
- Coordinate and lead site surveys, technical inspections, and system acceptance testing.
- Document configurations, procedures, and operational processes.
- Provide consultative support and contribute to the design and implementation of new capabilities.
- Monitor ongoing network maintenance activities and propose long-term solutions to recurring issues.
- Ensure alignment with internal standards, operational procedures, and project/service objectives.
- Collaborate across departments and support knowledge-sharing and best practice initiatives.
Your Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, engineering, or a related field with at least 3 years of relevant experience.
- Alternatively, 10 years of relevant professional experience may be considered in lieu of a bachelor's degree.
- Strong knowledge of modern IP-based network technologies and architectures (IPv6, QoS, MPLS, SDN, NFV, DWDM).
- Practical experience in network infrastructure design, implementation, and support.
- Excellent command of written and spoken English; strong documentation and communication skills.
- Experience working in structured environments with SLA/SOP frameworks.
- Professional certifications such as CCNP, ITIL v3, NRS II, or DCS-CA are a strong asset.
- Team player with proven ability to lead and coordinate technical efforts.
- Security clearance is strictly required to access the environment
