ABAKUS IT-SOLUTIONS is looking for an experienced Business Analyst & Application Support Specialist to join our growing team. In this role, you will combine business analysis expertise with application support, maintenance, testing, and continuous improvement activities. You will work closely with business stakeholders, end-users, and technical teams to ensure business-critical applications remain efficient, reliable, and aligned with evolving business needs.
Your Responsibilities
- Act as the primary point of contact for application users and relevant IT teams.
- Analyze, prioritize, and follow up on incidents and support requests.
- Perform root cause analysis and coordinate issue resolution.
- Provide technical assistance and guidance to end-users.
- Maintain accurate documentation of support activities and resolutions.
- Produce regular reports and summaries of support requests.
- Update user guides, procedures, and operational documentation when necessary.
- Identify opportunities to improve application design, usability, and operational efficiency.
- Support business users with data extraction, insertion, and manipulation activities within relational databases.
Bug Analysis & Resolution
- Investigate and analyze application defects and incidents.
- Collaborate with users and technical teams to identify root causes.
- Propose appropriate solutions and provide effort estimations.
- Coordinate and perform testing activities.
- Ensure proper documentation of fixes and implemented changes.
Business Analysis & Evolutive Maintenance
- Gather, analyze, and document business requirements.
- Translate business needs into functional specifications.
- Participate in solution design and impact assessments.
- Contribute to application enhancements and continuous improvements.
- Perform periodic system reviews and clean-up activities.
- Support the implementation and validation of new functionalities.
Testing & Quality Assurance
- Execute non-regression and functional testing activities.
- Participate in pre-release validation processes.
- Ensure the quality and reliability of application releases.
- Document test plans, scenarios, and results.
Release & Change Management
- Support release preparation and deployment activities.
- Manage application branches, patching, and merging processes.
- Contribute to build and deployment activities.
- Coordinate with technical teams during release cycles.
- Maintain release documentation and technical records.
Continuous Improvement
- Challenge existing processes and identify efficiency gains.
- Promote automation of repetitive operational tasks.
- Improve documentation standards and knowledge sharing.
- Mentor and support junior team members when needed.
- Contribute to the adoption of best practices across teams.
Your Profile
Mandatory Qualifications
- University degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Information Systems, or a related field.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in Business Analysis and/or Requirements Engineering within the financial services sector (banking, insurance, investment services, or similar environments).
- Strong experience gathering and documenting business requirements.
- Experience working in Agile environments.
- Hands-on experience with Agile planning and collaboration tools such as Jira.
- Professional proficiency in English (minimum B2 level).
