To strengthen our DevOps & container expertise, we are actively recruiting a Senior DevOps Engineer to work on large-scale, strategic container platform initiatives. As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will play a key role in the implementation, standardization, and operation of container-based platforms within large-scale IT environments.
Your main responsibilities include:
- Supporting the implementation and evolution of DevOps processes for large software development programs, including Kubernetes-based toolsets (e.g. OpsKit).
- Designing and defining concepts for unified technology products and container technology usage.
- Defining software and operational criteria for Kubernetes-based container orchestration platforms.
- Creating operational and governance concepts for container technologies.
- Standardizing infrastructure components and technology products related to container platforms across multiple environments.
- Developing strategies to identify, assess, and mitigate risks related to container technology implementation.
- Preparing professional reports, technical documentation, and presentations for steering committees and decision bodies.
- Actively participating in workshops, technical meetings, and coordination sessions (mostly via web conferences).
Qualifications (Must-Have)
- Degree in IT or a comparable qualification (Foreign degrees must be officially recognized in Germany)
- More than 3 years of experience with Git-based DevOps workflows, including Helm
- Strong expertise in modern container environments, including OpenShift and CNCF projects
- 10+ years of total professional experience within a large corporation or large public administration
- 5+ years of experience working in organizations with more than 10,000 users
- 5+ years of experience in IT migration projects from classic server operations / VMs to cloud and container platforms
- 3+ years of experience with hybrid Kubernetes platforms (e.g. OpenShift or equivalent)
- Native German speaker or German level C2
