ABAKUS IT SOLUTIONS is looking for an experienced Performance Testing Specialist to join a challenging digital transformation project in Brussels. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring the reliability, scalability, and performance of critical business applications while helping teams adopt modern performance engineering practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and execute performance test strategies (load, stress, endurance, scalability) using Apache JMeter
- Build and maintain reusable and scalable test scripts and scenarios
- Monitor application and infrastructure performance using Grafana, InfluxDB, and Elasticsearch/Kibana
- Analyze performance results, identify bottlenecks, and provide clear technical recommendations for optimization
- Collaborate closely with QA, development, and infrastructure teams to ensure performance requirements are met
- Contribute to test automation and CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI and/or Jenkins
- Work within containerized and distributed environments using Docker and Kubernetes
- Support the continuous improvement of performance testing frameworks, tools, and methodologies
- Use scripting and development skills (Java, Groovy, Python, Shell) to enhance automation and testing efficiency
Qualifications
- Proven experience in performance testing and performance engineering.
- Advanced expertise with Apache JMeter.
- Strong understanding of application architectures and infrastructure environments.
- Experience designing and executing complex load, stress, endurance, and scalability tests.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret performance metrics and identify root causes.
- Hands-on experience with monitoring and observability tools.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and test automation practices.
- Familiarity with containerized and cloud-native environments.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Fluent French (written and spoken).
