Key Responsibilities
As a Data Analyst, you will be responsible for managing and analyzing critical subsets of data while ensuring their accessibility, integrity, quality, and security throughout their lifecycle.
Your main responsibilities include:
- Ensuring accessibility, traceability, security, and reliability of data.
- Assessing data integrity from multiple sources, including measurement systems, sensors, and ticketing systems.
- Implementing and maintaining information handling and data governance procedures.
- Designing and maintaining formal data structures to guarantee availability and efficient searchability of information.
- Collecting, manipulating, and analyzing data to meet specific business or operational needs.
- Investigating enterprise data requirements and applying data analysis, data modeling, and data quality assurance techniques.
- Designing, modifying, and maintaining data models and their associated components.
- Advising and supporting database designers and stakeholders in the use of data structures.
- Producing analytical reports to support senior-level decision-making.
- Identifying trends, patterns, and insights in data and summarizing findings in clear reports.
- Contributing to data architecture design, data flows, and processing frameworks.
- Supporting software development processes by addressing data requirements.
Operational Duties
- Participating in projects focused on data collection and needs analysis.
- Gathering and documenting user requirements for reporting.
- Designing, developing, and testing SQL-based reports using SSRS, Power BI, and Excel.
- Validating reports with internal users and stakeholders.
- Providing support to users and improving existing reports.
- Designing and developing ETL processes, data models, and data warehouses.
Required Experience and Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of experience with Microsoft SQL Server, SSRS, SSIS, and SSAS.
- Proven experience in data warehouse design.
- Strong experience with ETL processes.
- Working experience with SharePoint (administration experience is an asset).
- Programming skills in C#, Python, or R.
- Experience developing dashboards using Microsoft Power BI or similar tools.
- Experience with BMC ITSM data and BMC Remedy Smart Reporting.
- ITIL v3 or higher certification required.
