Job Title: Senior Artificial Intelligence (AI) Engineer
Location: Brussels (Hybrid – up to 50% remote)
About the Role
We’re looking for a Senior AI/Data Engineer to join a high-impact Data Center of Excellence team, where you’ll lead the development and governance of a modern Azure-based AI ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
- Extend and maintain a robust Azure-based Data Platform (Databricks).
- Lead the deployment and technical ownership of Azure AI services including AI Foundry, AI Search, OpenAI, and Document Intelligence.
- Ensure data governance, security, and compliance across Azure services.
- Design and implement scalable data ingestion pipelines for AI-driven initiatives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on AI projects and architecture.
- Provide mentorship and technical guidance to team members.
- Contribute to architectural decisions, model selection, and infrastructure design.
- Maintain clear and comprehensive documentation of AI and data infrastructure.
Your Profile
- Proven experience as a Data/AI Engineer in enterprise environments.
- Expert-level proficiency in Databricks (3+ years).
- Strong hands-on experience with Azure AI Services and Azure infrastructure.
- Proficient in Python, SQL, and Spark (intermediate+).
- Skilled in Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
- Solid understanding of ETL processes, data pipelines, and performance optimization.
- Full professional proficiency in English; Dutch or French is a plus.
- Microsoft Azure certification(s) are a strong asset.
