AISG-0472 Network Security Engineer

Main Responsibilities

  • Design, deploy, and maintain modern network security solutions.
  • Manage and optimize network infrastructures and security components.
  • Monitor IT environments and identify security events.
  • Handle security incidents and contribute to incident response activities.
  • Analyze and resolve complex technical issues.
  • Manage requests through ITSM tools and ensure ticket follow-up.
  • Participate in security audits and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain and improve technical documentation.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners in an international environment.

Required Profile

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Network Security / IT Infrastructure.
  • Strong expertise in Cisco technologies:
    • Switching
    • Routing
    • WLAN
    • NAC (Cisco ISE)
    • Network protocols
  • Proven experience with firewall solutions, especially Check Point.
  • Knowledge of NGFW and IDS/IPS environments.
  • Experience with proxy solutions, ideally Zscaler (ZIA/ZPA).
  • Good knowledge of network services:
    • DNS
    • DHCP
    • IPAM
    • NTP
  • Practical experience in Security Monitoring and Incident Response.
  • Knowledge of IT security standards and cybersecurity best practices.
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 (Teams, SharePoint, Exchange, Intune).
  • Understanding of High Availability, Disaster Recovery, and Monitoring concepts.
  • Fluent English and German level (minimum C1).
  • Analytical mindset, autonomy, and ability to work in an international environment.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Nice-to-have skills

  • Experience with Cloud platforms such as Azure and/or AWS.
  • Cisco certifications (CCNA, CCNP) or ITIL.
  • Experience with ITSM tools such as Jira Service Desk.
  • Experience in an Enterprise environment.
