Your Mission
As a Functional Analyst, you play a key role in bridging business needs and IT solutions. You will:
- Identify and analyze business challenges and requirements
- Propose solution alternatives aligned with enterprise architecture, strategy, and cost-benefit considerations
- Translate business needs into clear, detailed functional specifications
- Design solution components, define data flows, and ensure process alignment
- Oversee implementation to ensure consistency between requirements and delivered solutions
You will be involved across the full lifecycle of projects, from initial design through to production support.
Key Responsibilities
Preparation Phase
- Support business stakeholders in defining optimal solutions
- Ensure adherence to architecture, security, and enterprise standards
- Collaborate closely with architects, project managers, and product owners
- Act as the central coordination point between business and IT teams
Elaboration Phase
- Translate business requirements into detailed functional specifications
- Define responsibilities across application components and IT assets
- Align with technical teams to refine solution requirements
Construction Phase
- Monitor development and testing progress
- Support integration and validation activities
- Analyze defects and ensure resolution
- Assist deployment and release management teams
Post-Production
- Provide support to operations and helpdesk teams
- Analyze and resolve production incidents
- Maintain up-to-date documentation

Your Profile
Required Experience & Skills
- 6+ years of relevant experience as a Functional Analyst
- Strong understanding of IT systems and application landscapes
- Experience in banking or financial services environments
- Mastery of analysis methodologies and enterprise standards
- Solid knowledge of:
- APIs & Swagger
- UML diagrams
- AI usage in analysis
- Strong communication and coordination skills
Nice-to-Have
- Knowledge of Java, XSD/XSLT
- Practical experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies
Languages
- English: professional proficiency required
- Knowledge of Dutch and/or French is a strong asset
