An experienced Senior Functional Tester is sought to contribute to the quality assurance of complex digital platforms supporting professional services and administrative processes. The role involves working within a multidisciplinary software delivery team responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining modern applications based on advanced technologies.
This position offers the opportunity to play a key role in software quality, testing strategy, and continuous improvement of testing processes within an Agile environment.
Main Responsibilities
The Senior Functional Tester will be responsible for ensuring that applications function correctly both functionally and technically throughout the development lifecycle.
Key responsibilities include:
- Defining and maintaining test strategies aligned with project requirements
- Reviewing business requirements and functional analysis documents
- Designing and executing test plans, test cases, and testing scenarios
- Performing manual functional testing and automated API testing
- Supporting end-to-end testing with external partners, from integration to qualification
- Monitoring and documenting defects, anomalies, and test results
- Producing test reports and quality assessments
- Automating test cases using appropriate tools depending on the technology stack
- Assisting teams with test effort estimation and planning
- Supporting user acceptance testing (UAT) when required
- Contributing to the continuous improvement of testing processes and QA practices
The role requires close collaboration with functional analysts, developers, engineers, and project stakeholders.
Required Profile
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in IT, software engineering, or a related field
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience in software testing
- Proven experience in both manual testing and automated testing
Technical Skills
- Strong expertise in manual UI testing
- Advanced experience in API test automation
- Experience writing and implementing test strategies
- Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies and QA processes
- Experience testing Java services, web services, REST APIs, and proxy services
- Ability to analyze and model complex workflows and business processes
- Experience working in Agile environments

- Xray (Jira plugin) – considered an advantage
- Katalon – considered an advantage
- Groovy scripting or equivalent scripting experience
- Basic knowledge of OWASP Security Verification is a plus
