As a UX/UI Designer, you translate concept ideas into intuitive, high‑quality user flows and visually appealing interfaces. You balance usability, accessibility, and user satisfaction to bridge user needs with business goals, delivering innovative and seamless digital experiences.
Responsibilities – What You Will Do
Design and Delivery
- Design complete user flows and screen states with a goal‑oriented, high‑quality mindset.
- Own the digital user journey from a UX/UI perspective.
- Produce high‑fidelity mockups and interactive prototypes.
- Ensure clear and intuitive information hierarchy at screen level.
- Actively use and contribute to the design system (mobile native and web, Mobile First).
- Collaborate closely with a dedicated UX copywriter for content integration.
Collaboration and Development Support
- Gather and analyze stakeholder input regarding user needs and technical feasibility.
- Seek inspiration from best‑in‑class products inside and outside the financial sector.
- Integrate usability testing feedback and adjust designs accordingly.
- Lead the refinement phase and support concept designers during early ideation.
- Deliver pixel‑perfect designs and support handover to development squads.
- Work with front‑end developers to ensure consistent implementation.
Community and Continuous Improvement
- Contribute to the UX/UI Community of Practice.
- Share best practices, co‑create patterns, and help maintain design standards.
- Provide and request feedback to continuously improve deliverables and workflows.
Skills and Competences – Who You Are
Craft Skills (Hard Skills)
- Strong Mobile First mindset with experience in mobile native design (Material Design, Human Interface Guidelines).
- Familiar with Agile and the Scrum development cycle.
- Solid understanding of WCAG accessibility guidelines and their impact on design and implementation.
- Proficient in design tools such as Figma or Sketch.
- Comfortable using and contributing to design systems.
- Ability to consume, adapt, create, or improve components (component properties knowledge is a plus).
- Understanding of the technical implications of designs; basic front‑end knowledge is an asset.
- Strong documentation and briefing skills for researchers and developers.
Languages
- C1 level in French or Dutch (ideally native in one of them).
- Good command of English (B1/B2), both written and spoken.
Soft Skills
- Creative, with strong organizational and structured working skills.
- Quality‑oriented and goal‑driven.
- Able to translate complex content into intuitive visual interfaces.
- Strong team player with excellent active listening skills.

- Full ownership of designs throughout the entire product lifecycle.
Opportunities are numerous. From bare applications development to of IT infrastructures management including conception, architecture and requirements analysis.
Although open to technologies used by our customers, ABAKUS IT-SOLUTIONS seeks mainly but not only consultants mastering: Windows and Linux Servers, networks, developments (JAVA, SAP, .NET,…) as well as highly specialized experts for example in cybersecurity or in Content Management System (CMS) (SharePoint, Drupal, WebLogic…).
In terms of non-technical competencies, ABAKUS IT-SOLUTIONS hires dynamic persons, open to the world, interested by innovation and having a keen sense of client relationship.
A very good command of English is essential, the capacity to speak French, German or Dutch is an asset.
Even though most of our positions require at least 3 years of experience, some are open to new starters.
