As a Senior Network Security Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, implementing, and securing robust network infrastructures. You will ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of critical systems while driving automation and continuous improvement within the security environment. You will also act as a technical reference within the team, supporting, mentoring, and guiding internal engineers while contributing to the evolution of security practices and tools.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain advanced network security architectures
- Deploy and configure security solutions such as firewalls, VPNs, proxies (forward/reverse), and load balancers
- Develop automation solutions and create playbooks to improve operational efficiency and incident response
- Monitor network environments to detect, analyze, and respond to security incidents and vulnerabilities
- Conduct regular security audits, risk assessments, and vulnerability management activities
- Provide advanced technical support and troubleshooting for complex network and security issues
- Ensure secure network routing and infrastructure management (routing protocols, dynamic/static routing, ISP connectivity, ExpressRoute, DNS, WiFi, TACACS)
- Contribute to cloud security strategies, including Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA) and secure data flows
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (business, development, support) to ensure secure-by-design implementations
- Coach and mentor internal network engineers and promote security best practices
- Continuously improve automation, scripting, and monitoring capabilities
Qualifications & Skills
- Strong experience in Network Security engineering within complex enterprise environments
- Solid expertise in firewalling, VPNs, proxy technologies, and load balancing
- Good knowledge of routing protocols, network infrastructure, and ISP connectivity
- Hands-on experience with security automation and scripting (playbooks, workflows, tooling)
- Understanding of cloud security principles and Zero Trust architecture (ZTNA)
- Experience in incident detection, response, and vulnerability management
- Familiarity with operating systems used in network environments
- Knowledge of security standards and cryptography protocols
- Certification such as Security+ is a plus
- English: Good level
- French or Dutch: Excellent level
- Second national language (French or Dutch): Good level
