AISB-693 Senior Project Manager — BI Architect & Team Lead

Join a high-impact Business Intelligence Competence Center as a Senior Project Manager combining BI architecture leadership and team management. You will lead end-to-end BI initiatives on SAP, shape data architectures, ensure delivery excellence, and mentor internal experts while coordinating external consultants.

Role Overview

You will drive complex BI programs across data warehousing and analytics, define the target BI architecture, enforce quality and compliance standards (including GDPR), optimize data flows and visuals, and ensure timely delivery. You will also steer project plans, manage risks, and provide technical reporting and resource allocation by project.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead BI projects in a SAP-centric environment, from scoping to go-live and continuous improvement.
• Own data warehousing architecture and modeling across SAP BW on HANA, SAP Datasphere, SAP Data Services, and SAP BPC.
• Govern the analytics front end: SAP BusinessObjects (Web Intelligence, Crystal Reports, SAP Analysis, CMC) and SAP Analytics Cloud.
• Integrate authentic sources (e.g., SAP HR, SAP FI/CO, DMFA/LTDS) and design robust data pipelines.
• Guarantee quality assurance, robustness, documentation, and agreed delivery timelines.
• Ensure adherence to BI conventions, security policies, and legislation (GDPR); champion architectural best practices.
• Optimize and automate data flows and dashboards/visuals aligned with business constraints and performance targets.
• Produce clear technical documentation, provide application/solution support, and lead knowledge transfer.
• Advise, coach, and upskill internal experts on SAP BI technologies and modern BI ways of working.
• Coordinate external experts: technical planning, dependency management, task assignment, progress tracking, incident and ticket follow-up, risk surfacing.
• Provide concise technical reporting and manage external resource allocations per BI project.

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of relevant experience leading BI projects in a SAP environment (minimum requirement).
• Proven track record as BI Architect and Project Manager delivering enterprise-grade solutions.
• Strong expertise in SAP BW and SAP BusinessObjects (WEBI), including roles and authorizations design (5+ years minimum).
• Hands-on experience with SAP Analytics Cloud and SAP Data Services.
• Demonstrated Enterprise Architecture and Data Architecture leadership across Data Warehouse/BI domains.
• Experience operating within public-sector contexts and controls (preferably in HR/payroll and budgeting domains; 5+ years as PM BI is a strong asset).
• Certification (mandatory): SAP Business Intelligence Platform.
• Degree: Civil Engineer or Master’s in Computer Science; or other master/bachelor with IT specialization plus 10+ years relevant PM BI experience in SAP BW & SAP BO.

Nice to Have

• SAP Certified Associate – Data Analyst (SAC) and/or Augmented BI Expert – SAP Analytics Cloud.
• SAP Certified Application Associate – SAP BusinessObjects.
• Experience with SAP Calculation Views.
• Recent leadership in stakeholder management and team leadership across multi-vendor environments.
